Lane Morris Buckman
An avid reader, Lane prefers books over just about anything. She studied English, Foreign Language and Classics for her B.A. and currently works in Corporate Communications, moonlighting as a freelance writer and voice over actor. She and her husband, Bryan, live in Texas with their fish, Swimmy.




Himadri Chatterjee
Himadri Chatterjee was born in Calcutta, India, in 1960, moved to Britain with his family in 1965, and has grown up mainly in Glasgow, in Scotland. He graduated in physics from Stratchclyde University, and went on to do postgraduate studies in operational research in Manchester University. He currently works as an operational research analyst for an airline, and lives near London, UK, with his wife and two children. What spare time he has apart from his day job and family commitments, he likes to spend reading, and listening to classical music. He also loves the theatre, good conversation, and good whisky (he is a long-standing member of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society). Favourite authors include Shakespeare, Tolstoy, Ibsen, Dickens, Chekhov, Joyce, and Faulkner; and, amongst poets, Milton, Wordsworth, Yeats, Tagore. On a lighter note, he is also an aficionado of the Sherlock Holmes stories; old-fashioned ghost stories; and the writings of P. G. Wodehouse. Favourite composers include Mozart, Schubert, Bach, Beethoven, Verdi, Brahms, Sibelius, Bartok.

Molly Cormaney
Molly Cormaney was born in Cedar Falls, IA...and has lived there ever since. She earned a B.A. in English and political science, and an M.A. in English from the University of Northern Iowa. Her "day job" consists of employee training and development for Cedar Falls Utilities. In the evenings she teaches literature and composition courses for Upper Iowa University.

Though she's never lived far from home, she loves to travel. Her favorite city in all the world is London. Her other love is, of course, reading. Favorite authors include Austen, Woolf, Trollope, Cather, Nancy Mitford, Wodehouse, and the occasional British Cozy (Christie or Sayers). She and her husband have five "chets" (child-pets). Dominic, Bentley, Olivia, Oliver and Josie are, indeed, the most spoiled dogs ever--and rightly so!


Christopher Currie
Christopher Currie trained to be a research scientist in perceptual/mathematical psychology in the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Since coming out east on a NIH-NRSA post-doctorial fellowship, he subsequently moved to N.Y.C. where he switched his focus to theater. From 2000 to 2003 he was the stage manager, associate producer, and grant writer for the "Frog & Peach Theatre Company," an off-Off-Broadway Shakespeare theater company. Since 2003, he has been in training to be an actor and has appeared in off-Off-Broadway productions and student films. He currently lives in Brooklyn, where he writes and dreams.

Cindy-Lou Dale
Dale was born in a small town in the northern part of South Africa in the early 60's. Whilst still in infancy her family moved to Cape Town, where she attended school. She graduated from high school and received further education in the United States and again in South Africa. She has subsequently furthered her education in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Her career moved her around the world - one month Angola, then New York, Malawi, Los Angeles, Namibia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique. She has also travelled extensively on leisure. In 1998 she immigrated to the United Kingdom and from there recently relocated to Belgium, continuing her nomadic lifestyle. She is a published freelance writer and journalist and is currently working on a novel based on the dark days of apartheid and hopes her writings will expose both pre- and post-apartheid government officials of their crimes to date.

Rocco Dormarunno
Rocco Dormarunno was born and raised in New York City. He eared his BA in Humanities from Brooklyn College, his MA in English literature and language from Rutgers University, and was a student at the University of Iowa's Writers Workshop. He has taught at each of those institutions, and currently teaches at he College of New Rochelle, Manhattan Campus. Along with his passion for literature, he also concentrated his studies in American and, specifically, New York City history. He and his wonderful wife Jenny live close to the city in West Orange, NJ.

Shirley Li, 21-year old with known characteristics such as spontaneous combustibility, outrageous determination, tendency to over-analyze / psychoanalyze, verbosity, existentialist humor, overt nostalgia for times long past (be it age of elves or age of reason).

Diane L. Schirf
Diane L. Schirf grew up in Hamburg, New York, where, thanks to the local public libraries, she read authors ranging from Agatha Christie and ArthurC. Clarke to Charles Dickens and T. H. White. In 1983, after studying theAnglo-Saxons, Eastern thought, music appreciation, Chaucer, silent film, anda smattering of English and American history, she graduated with a bachelorof arts degree in English language and literature from the University ofChicago. By day, she works as senior marketing and public relations copywriter for a national senior living company based in Chicago. By night,she writes book reviews, essays, poetry, fiction, and whatever else occurs to her.

Michael Shaler
A native Californian, born and raised in the Central Valley, Michael Shaler grew up loving the work of John Steinbeck. While teaching in California public schools in both Southern California and the Bay Area, he earned an MFA in Creative Writing at San Francisco State. A member of an ongoing writing group, and currently working on a novel, his nonfiction has appeared in Elysian Fields Quarterly, and he has fiction forthcoming in The MacGuffin. He lives with his wife and ideal reader, Ellen, in Oakland, CA.
